About

Biodynamic Massage

'This is a great place to feel safe'

Biodynamic Massage Therapy (BMT) works across a wide spectrum of techniques but first and foremost puts emphasis on the psychological understanding of the body.

BMT cultivates self-awareness through anchoring your experience in the body. A biodynamic massage therapist is trained to recognise bodily patterns that hold back energy.

An understanding of how the natural flow of energy can be trapped in the body (tissue armouring) and the potential to work towards its physical and emotional release (completion) makes biodynamic massage a truly therapeutic massage.

BMT is a 100% individualised treatment and every session is unique, as your body continuously reflects your life circumstances.

BMT works well as both a short-term and long-term treatment.

The work is supervised, insured and develops in accordance with the code of ethics of the Association of Biodynamic Massage Therapists (ABMT and the General Data Protection Regulation.

What makes BMT special is the use of an electronic stethoscope. This helps the client and the therapist have direct feedback from the body through listening to what we call psycho-peristalsis.

This means we literally 'listen to your gut', as the gut 'knows' what happens everywhere in the body and  'speaks' the truth.

Listening to the gut in this way helps the therapist follow what is happening in your body and adjust the technique based on your biological rhythm.

Biodynamic Massage Therapy

affects our endless capacity

for healing and development.

About

Leonidas Chartas (BSc)

I am a certified biodynamic massage therapist, a full member of the Association of Biodynamic Massage Therapists (ABMT) and a student in body psychotherapy at the Cambridge Body Psychotherapy Centre (CBPC).

Previously, I studied and worked as a physiotherapist in Athens, Greece, and I also have a background in other complementary therapies.

I am fascinated by biodynamic massage, both as a trainee and as a client. I have obtained tremendous benefit from my own therapy and I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge of BMT with you.
